Norwood

Our Homes

Norwood

Statement of purpose

SuperCare Norwood is a residential home in Croydon for up to four children and young people (CYP) who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviour up to 18 years old.
SuperCare Norwood works with CYP with other varied conditions such as:

– Autism
– Epilepsy
– Cerebral Palsy
– ADHD

We work together with the relevant experts in the field to train our staff team and management to enable the best possible care and outcomes within a family style setting. This allows the staff team to understand and meet the needs of the CYP in our care daily, building positive and lasting relationships and supporting their individual needs.

Careers at Norwood

Directly working alongside young children in our care, Junior Coaches take an active role in organising activities and holidays whilst supporting Senior Coaches and house leadership. As an entry-level position we’ll support you in achieving your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare while you work.

Senior Coaches are an integral part of our houses. They manage primary care issues for our children and help the prepare for the transition to adulthood and greater independence. Senior Coaches already have their Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and are supported to achieve higher qualifications.

Team Leaders co-ordinate and lead shifts, working closely with Junior and Senior coaches to formulate support plans with young people, construct packages of support to meet their needs and lead the direct day-to-day support.

Ensuring the young people are looked after at night safely and securely, Night Shift leads help ensure that the house runs smoothly during the evenings and early mornings.

Our Deputy Manager’s work closely with the house’s Registered Manager to manage the service’s existing workforce and resources, as well as to promote and safeguard the welfare of the young people in our care.

At SuperCare we look for talented and professional Registered Managers to deliver on our unique and innovative vision for our young people. Working alongside an exceptional team to provide care to the most vulnerable and complex young people.

Our Part Time Clinical Psychologists support our young people with Learning Disabilities, aiding in developing the strategy alongside social workers for the young people. They also help support our full tine staff by providing knowledge and advice.
